To create a multisignature wallet, you’ll need at least 3 hardware wallets. The
most common setup is 2-of-3.
• You have 3 separate wallets (keys)
• You only need 2 of them to approve a transaction
You can also choose other combinations, like 3-of-5 or 3-of-4, depending on your security needs and how you want to store your devices.
This setup improves security—if one device is lost or stolen, your funds are still safe.
However, more devices don’t always mean better security. Using too many can make things complicated and increase the risk of losing access if you forget where everything is stored. Keep this in mind when considering your security needs.
Additionally, not all hardware wallets are suitable for multisignature setups.
